Dance of the Four Companions of the Prince. The “Pas de Duex” is played beautifully and the Coda and Final Waltz are given appropriately gripping readings. The result is that, in addition to being glaxunov away by the story, you start to notice for the first time the subtle colors and textures that Tchaikovsky had hidden away within the score.
